archeologists, paleatologists and other enthusiasts. The country even
has a Dinosaur named after it, Lesothosaurus, a metre-long herbivorous
Lizard, which can has been reconstructed and is able to be viewed at
the Natural History Museum in london. Dinosaur footprints are mainly
found in the sandstone areas in the lowlands as they ar enormally
exposed in the sandstone after centuries of weathering
Where To Go
The best place to go view dinosaur footprints is in the Quthing
District at Ellenberger's Cave House and just outside the town of
Quthing. The other place to view them is just outside Leribe in the
North.
Where to stay
Moorosi Chalets, just outside the town of Mount Moorosi, is a good
place to stay to see the Quthing Sights and Aloes Lodge and Maliba
Lodge are god places to stay to see the sights at Leribe. All of these
sights are great as a quick stopover enroute to the other destinations
in Lesotho.
