Berg Cottage is a quaint self-catering cottage in Clarens which can accommodate 8 people.
Introduction
At the bottom of the garden extending up a mountain and bordering on the Nature Reserve in the village of Clarens is this charming original sandstone cottage retaining the character and simplicity of yesteryear, but incorporating the comforts of today. With gas or electric cooking and heating facilities and an intimate braai area outside, it caters for all tastes but the very sophisticated. The cottage is eminently suitable for family or friends’ get togethers for all ages and has a particularly record of these since we acquired it in 1981. But it is also a cosy retreat for a couple. The garden, sloping up to the sandstone cliffs affords magnificent views of the distant and surrounding mountains – a wonderful place for sundowners.
To enhance the escape from the rat race, there is no telephone, radio or television, but in close proximity there is HIKING, BIKING, TENNIS, RIDING and FISHING. In addition a magnificent new 18-hole golf course is being opened at the beginning of 2007
